Demi Chef de Partie

Department: Kitchen

Salary/Hourly rate: £7.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting a Demi Chef de Partie for our three star Glasgow Pond Hotel with 137 bedrooms, brasserie & bar and 3 conference & banqueting rooms

The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing great food and enjoy working with a dedicated team of Chefs and Kitchen Porters

The role will involve:
Taking responsibility for various sections within the kitchen
Preparing and presenting food to a high standard
Stock rotation
Ensuring kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy
Taking responsibility for strict control of hygiene in the kitchen and monitoring food preparation areas
Liaising with the Head Chef on current menu & new ideas
Knowledge of HACCP
Communicating effectively with kitchen team members and positively with other departments in the hotel
Room to progress in the kitchen

The Breakfast Chef has a significant responsibility to arrive promptly for the Breakfast shift and ensure our guests have a positive start to the day by receiving a great breakfast. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is essential

The role will involve preparing breakfast for our residents to the standards set by the hotel

Accounts Assistant

Department: Finance

Salary/Hourly rate: £18,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our three star Glasgow Pond Hotel with 137 bedrooms, brasserie & bar and 3 conference & banqueting rooms

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in recovering business debt as well as being able to escalate any potential issues regarding payments early on. The rewarding role will suit a candidate that has previously worked within hospitality sector or similar environment and is comfortable with working autonomously to prioritise their day and add real value to the business

Responsibilities and duties include:
Credit control
Develop and maintain effective client relationships
Ensure all invoices are correct and issued on time
Ensure client accounts are maintained within agreed credit limits and payment terms
Updating and allocating payments on sales ledger
Deal with debtor and client queries, maintaining comprehensive backup records to assist in resolving these
Revenue protection
Complete daily business and daily audit functions
Complete future business checks for payment/deposit
Provide key analysis and reports to support the Financial Controller
Understanding the business strategy and ensure tasks are completed and delivered on time
Importing and updating sales ledger invoices
Occasional use of Sage for processing purchase invoices, purchase orders, Bacs payments
Telephoning customers
Updating computerised accounts systems
Occasional Payroll administration
Assisting with queries
Assisting with other general finance department duties, as required
